I’m coming to you with something a bit different this week. On Monday, I was the guest for an issue of Platonic Love’s Links We Send Our Friends. Platonic Love is a newsletter for women in the messy middle: navigating the transformation from “twenty-something” to “Adult with a capital A.” They send two issues a week: a Monday round-up of links they’ve sent to friends and a Thursday personal or how-to piece.

1. I’ve lived in New York City long enough that I remember what used to occupy a commercial space more than one business ago, and I often get nostalgic for a city I never got to experience. I loved this piece in The New York Times about a family-owned old-school Italian joint in Cobble Hill that stays open by playing itself on TV.

2. Just bought this gorgeous olive oil cruet from a potter on Etsy. I want to get a smaller size for my balsamic vinegar, but the style I want is perpetually sold out.

3. I’m pretty sure food tastes better in bowl-plates, and I eat most meals out of the ones in my collection, even when it’s not the best vessel. In this article, Eater explores their rise.

4. I recently had a hot dog party to celebrate my birthday, which really kicked off hot dog summer. Eater just published this fun feature to throw your own hot dog party.

5. I love sandwiches, and luckily, New York is a sandwich lover’s town. On Monday, The New York Times published an incredible feature on 57 of NYC’s iconic sandwiches. I’ve had a handful of these sandwiches and been to many of the places featured, but I still have a lot to check out!
